Vaginismus is the involuntary contraction of the perivaginal muscles in the lower third of the vagina, which prevents penetration into sexual relationships or makes it very difficult and painful.

This sexual dysfunction affects a small group of the female population and, in addition, is a cause of sterility in women who are of reproductive age.

Vaginismus can be solved with a combined treatment of sexology and gynecology, which will improve the sexual life of these women and give them the possibility of conceiving.
