Age and development of the blastocyst
Age does not influence the development of the blastocyst.
In this study, the rate of development of blastocysts in embryos was evaluated on day 3 of culture had an appropriate degree and rate of cell division and it was observed if maternal age modified the effect produced by fragmentation of the embryos in blastulation.
According to the results obtained, it is observed that there is a significant negative correlation between the degree of fragmentation of the embryo and the rate of blastocyst development, but age does not exert an effect on the degree of fragmentation or modify the negative effect of fragmentation of embryos on the formation of the blastocyst.

Introduction
The decrease in the reproductive capacity of women with age has been related to the deterioration or aging of oocytes, the reduction of embryo quality and a lower rate of implantation and pregnancy. There is evidence that there is a direct relationship between the age of women subjected to in vitro fertilization and the increased fragmentation in embryos in the division phase.
Some studies have shown that embryos with a higher degree of fragmentation are less likely to form a blastocyst and that increasing maternal age decreases the chances of embryos reaching the blasting phase. However, it is not clear if the age of the woman has an additive effect on embryonic fragmentation and therefore, reduces the chances of the embryos reaching the blastocyst stage.
Therefore, the objective of the present study is to investigate whether in embryos with similar degrees of fragmentation, maternal age influences the degree of embryo fragmentation and, therefore, in the development of blastocysts with success.
