Surgery as a solution to problems in the fallopian tubes- 1. Obstructed fallopian tubes
- 2. Fallopian tube surgery due to ectopic pregnancy
- 3. Formation of tubal adhesions
- 4. Remove the fallopian tubes
It is important not to confuse this type of surgery with tubal ligation , as they are contrary. Tubal surgery aims to repair problems of the fallopian tubes that prevent proper functioning, while the ligature is an intervention to voluntarily block the tubes as a permanent contraceptive method .
Depending on the reason of the surgery, the intervention can be carried out by an abdominal operation, that is, by laparotomy, or by small incision surgery, that is, a laparoscopy.
With this, we try to either repair the functioning of the tube in case it is not badly damaged or remove it if it is very striated, has accumulated fluid or the cilia are badly damaged.
Clogged fallopian tubesAn operation on the tubes could also be carried out in order to regain fertility in the event that the woman had previously undergone a sterilization process in which her tubes were sealed or bound. It is what we know as a reversal of the fallopian tubes.
Among the most frequent problems that appear in the tubes and require operation to achieve pregnancy are: adhesions, obstruction of the side of the uterus or the ends near the ovary, restoring a previous sterilization, or extraction of one of them.
