The services of the clinic include all available techniques of Assisted Reproduction. Among them we find artificial insemination (AI), in this the sperm of the couple (IAC), or a donor (IAD), is introduced into the uterine cavity, so that the fertilization is intrauterine.
FIV-ICSI assisted reproduction techniquesOn the other hand, we have the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), in which the fertilization will be carried out in the laboratory, so we will have to extract the ova from the mother. Within this technique (extrauterine fertilization) we have two variants, conventional IVF, in which ovules and sperm are found and fertilization occurs; and the ICSI (Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection.), in which a preselected sperm is microinjected into the cytoplasm of the ovule.
When the problem lies in the patient's ovules, due to a low ovarian reserve, or poor quality of the ovules, or the woman has a genetic pathology, there is the option of ovule donation and / or the adoption of embryos. Here the patient will be introduced an ovule of a young patient who previously donated it fertilized by one of the different techniques mentioned above.
In the case of adoption of embryos, their origin are other couples that no longer want to have more children and that there were surplus embryos after IVF treatment.
