Repeated failures of embryonic implantation: causes and solutions
The failure of embryo implantation is a problem that occurs in women who want to have a pregnancy and can not get it, despite frequent unprotected sexual intercourse.
The problem of these couples is that they do not know if they are really having repeated implantation failures, or on the contrary, their gametes (ovum and sperm) are not even able to fertilize and give rise to an embryo that reaches the uterus.
The fact of having implantation failures can only be confirmed when undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments, since the development of the embryo in the laboratory is observed and there is confirmation that it is transferred to the uterus of the mother.
Below you have an index with all the points that we will discuss in this article.

When do we talk about implantation failure?
We can talk about implantation failure when a patient has not achieved pregnancy after 3 cycles of IVF with their eggs, or after 2 cycles of ovodonation, provided that:
- Embryos of good quality have been transferred.
- There were no technical problems during the embryo transfers
- There are no obvious problems in the uterus.
In these cases, it will be necessary to consider carrying out a more specialized treatment that will increase the implantation rate.
When does the implantation failure take place?
